Arginine

Arginine supplement is one of the authorized supplements that is used as an essential amino acid in the human body.

Arginine is produced naturally in the human body, and in some cases, such as illness and malnutrition, it may be impaired.

Food sources: Nuts, beans, fish and chicken are rich in this amino acid, which reaches our body between 2 to 6 grams of food per day.

Effects and Benefits: It is an anabolic supplement that in addition to helping in the secretion of growth hormone, causes the synthesis of creatine and also the production of nitric oxide, which is a pump-type supplement. It is also involved in glucose metabolism in the body.

Research has shown that sometimes consuming 9 grams of this amino acid per day can increase the secretion of growth hormone by 100% (increase muscle building and increase height at growth age). Consumption of more than 20 grams of this supplement is not recommended at all and can have health consequences.

Although a reduction in fatigue with 3 grams of pre-workout exercise has been reported in many studies, due to inconsistencies in research results, it is still not possible to comment with certainty on the effects of this supplement on improving athletes’ performance.
